Narrowing disc in neck- anyone familiar with this?

I saw my doctor today to discuss my neck x-ray, and she says I have minor narrowing in c5/6. She said she didn't think it would be responsible for any neck pain, and left it at that. I don't really understand what this diagnosis means, and I didn't really think to ask her any questions about it at the time...particularly since she didn't seem worried, but she rarely does seem worried.

Is anyone familiar with this? Is it something I should be worried about?

The discs between the vertebrae are made of squishy-fiberous material. As we age they dry out and narrow. It happens to just about everyone. I see MRI scans each and ever day in my like of work and the only time I see no changes in disc height is when they are very young.

    No worries.:flowerforyou:
