Anyone had their BMR checked? I am a 2 1/2 years post gastric bypass patient who got to a healthy weight then had second child and also had a second back surgery and thus gained back 25-30 pounds that I am trying to lose. My bariatric doctor just checked my BMR a couple weeks ago and said that my metobolic rate was a little higher than normal so I needed to take in 1580-1930 calories a day in order to lose weight. I was only taking in around 1200 on average before. Now I am actually having trouble eating healthy and eating enough to get in this many calories ( I am aiming for 1650-1700). Anyone else have these issues?

My BMR is around 1400, my daily goal is 1800 and I have no problem hitting that number every day.
If getting the calories in is difficult for you, eat more calorie dense foods, like nuts, nut butters, avocado, use olive or coconut oil in cooking - small portions of these foods pack some good healthy calories that will have your numbers up in no time.0
