TOO MUCH VOLUME in one meal

2 cups soup, 2.5 cups veg (dense stuff, peppers, sprouts, not just your leafy greens), a fish fillet.

I am going to burst. I have never experienced this kind of discomfort after eating, ever. So that's neat, in that I'm learning something new. But how to fix/how long to wait/any OTCs recommended?

I ate too much food at once, and am bloated. Usually I get the same cals from things that take up less space.

If you are referring to eating more fibrous foods than you are used to eating, yes they are quite filling and quite uncomfortable to get used to. And while I have never used OTC bloating / gas medicines Beano is always advertised, and I can tell you that your body will get used to the increased fiber. The discomfort will improve with continued eating of those types of foods and kudos to you for figuring out that you can eat a ton more food the healthy way.

Well, thank you! Yes, I'm used to a big chunky steak, some leaves, and maybe a potato. This is lots for me at once, probably should have left off either the soup or the fish, but hey ho.

Really is trial and error, isn't it!
  • Wonder can anybody help here,I keep going over my protein limit ,was planning to have 50 grams of lean pork cooked in a dry pan like a paleo type sausage but it's ten grams of protein and that only leaves 35 for the rest of the day
It's only my second day so I don't want to stuff up again

In my opinion and that of many others on this site, the protein goal that MFP gives you is too low anyway. Don't worry about going over it. I reset my macros to include more protein and fewer carbs.
