High carb, low cal foods?

Am I confused? I think I need more carbs but I don't want more calories. I'm a runner and am trying to lose weight. I can't seem to get enough carbs. Am I looking at this wrong or are there foods that are full of carbs but low in calories I can eat to maintain my energy requirements?
