So I'm trying to raise money for Walk for the Cure. So far I have gotten a few donations by just asking. Now I'm trying to sell artwork for $20.00 each and TRYING to throw an all night dance party with free drinks and a $10.00 donation fee.
Anyone have anymore ideas that I can try? I'm so stressed I'm not going to make my minimum.
By the way, I think it's complete BULL that you can't participate of you don't come up with the full amount!
Thanks in advance

Kristen

Yeah, that is nuts! How much do you have to come up with?? Have anything to throw on e-bay?

potato dinner? those are easy... baked potatos with all of the toppings.... and you could do a silent auction there maybe. we raised a lot of money doing this.

I have to raise 2,300 dollars by Aug. I know I have plenty of time but it's still hard, especially being a stay at home Mom.....don't have many resources.
Potato dinner? Where do you do these...at your house?

Hmmm....maybe I'll send out emails to local businesses....if they donate I'll put their name on my shirt as a sponsor?

Could you organize a block party in your neighborhood? You could do all kinds of stuff, yard sale, a BBQ for donations, a pay-for pinata ($1 a try or whatever), a jellybean count ($1 a guess) and so on. Or a charity car wash at your local gas station, or if you're a great cook you could host pay for dinner parties and auction off seats at the table (this is really great if you can get a local chef to come and cook), a battle of the bands...
