I haven't been to the gym in YEARS....going tomorrow for the first time (recently lost 80 pounds doing home videos). I need advice on what to do first? How many reps of weights are you supposed to do? I don't want to look dumb

I would ask a staff member for an introductory walk through, and see if they offer a free introductory private training session to learn how to use the equipment. Probably, I would take the day to go around and try some different things, figure out how t use a variety of different machines (treadmill, elliptical, bike, stair climber) and then walk around with a notepad and jot down what options they have available as far as weights. Then, go home and work out a plan for what to do the next time you go.
From day 2 on, ALWAYS walk in with a plan. Congrats and welcome back!0
