Insanity day 5#, MFP day #4!

Hi! I'm new to MFP and looking for support! I regularly exercise and although I eat very healthy, I've had issues putting diet and exercise together. Prefer a vegetarian, whole food diet, but tend to eat more cheese, carbs, etc because I'm more hungry. I'm committing myself to eating lean proteins including chicken and fish, 5 small meals per day and doing the insanity program. My husband and I are doing it together every am which is tough in the cold and dark am, but it's been great so far! Not sure how many calories I should be giving the insanity program and considering purchasing a heart rate monitor to know for sure. Do you think it's worth the investment?
I'm 5'3, 153 pounds, working mom and all the scheduling issues that come with the territory. I'd love to hear from other women and share what keeps them in line and keeps them successful!
