Home exercise's?

Subject say's it all the be honest. I'm an eighteen year old female, who lives independently and doesn't have money for GYM or "fitness" equipment to use at home. I'm already stretching my budget on food, so I can buy fitness DVD's either. Any ideas?

Skip the DVDs in my opinion. Check out You Are Your Own Gym or Convict Conditioning. Both are excellent and you won't need to rely on a new video every couple of months because it teaches you how to create an effective and proper program for yourself without the use of gym equipment.

Aye. I quite like this guy: http://youtu.be/L94Tjo4TXAI Motivational, friendly, interesting accent. He could do with a shave, though. And does the usual web marketing stuff if you sign up for his free daily emails. But it gives you an idea of what exercises are possible. Also search "calisthenics" which is fine for beginners as well as advanced.

YouTube....check out Jillian Michaels (lots of groups on here too)
and definitely 'you are your own gym' .... squats, push ups, planks - body weight stuff that can be a real killer and no weights needed. Also kids parks great to use equipment and such (and great way to embarrass your kids if you have 'em). i use my coffee table for all sorts of exercises!

I am in a similar situation. Cancelled my gym membership last year and now go for runs, do press-ups and pull-ups (pull-up bar was a christmas present). I bought some dumbells from Tesco for £16 on sale.

You're not missing out by not going to the gym. In fact not sharing everyone elses bugs and exercising outdoors is much more beneficial for overall health and fitness I think (no facts to back this up, just how I feel).

I don't follow a plan/DVD as such, and don't think there is a need to spend money on books/DVD's as teh internet has loads of resources.

I can recommend you this girl http://www.blogilates.com/ - Casey ho - She has a TON of videos on youtube mostly doing HIIT or pop pilates (which is more active than regular pilates so you burn more calories :P ) and on the website there's workout calendars if you sign up (free) to her newsletter aswell as recipes and other stuff..

Last year I created my own weekly workout plan choosing videos i liked from her, targeting different areas of my body and followed it for about a month.. it was challenging LOL it definetely helpt me start getting back in shape.. I should have stuck with her longer though but yea try it, im sure you'll be sore from it :)
