There is no special food that causes a person to gain muscle and lose belly fat. What works for me is to do most of my cooking on Sunday afternoons, put individual servings in Ziplock screw lid containers, and enjoy a variety of lunches and dinners all week. I do steak stir fry, turkey sausage casserole with peppers, chicken pesto pasta with walnuts (whole grain pasta), turkey chili, tuna salad with egg, I watch my macros and make sure I get a good balance of protein, carbs, and healthy fat. I also bring nuts, fruit, yogurt, raw veggies, trail mix, and small pieces of dark chocolate to work.0

As long as you are eating less calories than your maintenance and are meeting your minimum protein and fats then you will lose BF% while still keeping lean. granted that you lift.0

If you don't want to cook ahead and re-heat, you can change up your sandwiches a bit. Try turkey breast (either sliced low sodium deli meat, or turkey that you have cooked at home), chicken breast, or lean beef. You can also make tuna salad with low fat mayo. If you have access to a microwave, check out frozen veggie burgers that you can heat and slap on a WW roll at work. Just read the label on these--they vary greatly in the amount of protein that they provide. As noted earlier, no specific type of food will help you lose the belly fat. You will lose it everywhere (unfortunately we don't get to pick where it comes off first) if you meet your calorie goals. Working out will definitely build muscle so that you will look better when the fat is gone. A side of cottage cheese, greek yogurt, or a small handful of almonds also brings the protein up.0

Low glycaemic index, anti stress diet. Plenty of oily fish and reduced fat dairy, limit or avoid sugar, high glycaemic index carbs and saturated animal fats.0
