Exercise and c-section

It's been 8 weeks since my c-section so decided to start up on the 30 day shred. Now, it's not hurting to do this (if it was i would stop) but, there is one thing in particular that is making it more difficult... after having my 2nd baby (and 2nd section) i have a gorgeous looking mummy apron ¬____¬ so when i am doing jumping jacks for example the wobble does tug on the scar and is very uncomfy. I don't want to do myself any damage so was wondering if there were any women in the same position and what you do to prevent the belly tug during exercise?

i'm thinking a big fat pair of Bridget Jones pants would do the trick but other advise would be most welcome :)

Or get a a pair of compression shorts to wear. I felt tugging and twinges for months after my c-section and it was mostly due to healing and adhesions.

Did you ever think about using a belly wrap? Walmart has a Gold's Gym Waist Trimmer Belt for no more than $5.00. It would offer support plus heats up your mid section and trims your waist (so it claims). I have the same problem and this helps support my scar.

Thanks everyone ???? i was contemplating getting myself a pair of zaggora shorts as they were on special offer but missed out ????
  • I am in the same boat as you, too! I say pants are the way to go ... it's been 4 months since my little boy came into the world, and I'm still dealing with it. I imagine I will for a few more months until I lose the weight and the skin tightens back up!

I had the same issue when I first started working out after having my little angel via c-section. I went a bought one of those spandex type shirts that are super duper tight and feel like they are about 10 sizes to small ( I have no idea what the are called). The ones you wear up under your clothes and it is suppose to make your body look more shapely. The best money I ever spent! I don't wear it while working out any more, but it was a lifesaver when I first started working out.

thanks - i have a pair of 'slimming' pants that make you feel like you're being squashed haha! i'm guessing those will do the trick. for being just 8 weeks past delivery my scar has fully healed externally and just looks like a slight white line (i'm lucky, my first healed in much the same way)
