Time of day...

When do you all workout? I am thinking about moving my mid afternoon workouts to the evening---like after dinner. Does anyone have any tips, or has anyone heard that there is an ideal time to workout during the day?

    I workout in the mornings. I like to get it out of the way so I can really enjoy the rest of my day.

    I've heard many things...if at night, at least 2 hours before bedtime... in the morning is great for energy for the day and supposedly is really good for you. I work out right after work, about 2 hours after my last snack and then eat immediately when I get home. Workout usually occurs from 7-8, depending on how much I do. On weekends, I work out first thing in the morning before breakfast. On my early (work) day on Wednesday, it's 4:30-5:30pm.

    There's no ideal time to work out, all that matters it that you work out! I work out both mornings and evenings, depending on whether I'm running or going to the gym. It's really whatever fits into your schedule.

    I have heard to do like a quick (15 min) workout in the morning before you eat, to get your metabolism going. But after that I have not heard anything else. I am curious to know too

    I am a morning girl.....just not too early! no reason except I too like to get it out of the way so I can enjoy my day!

    I try to do it first thing in the morning, then I cant talk myself out of it, or find excuses not to work out all day.
  • I workout right after work during the week. On the weekends I like to workout in the AM... great start to my day! I think its really a preference. I have heard that you shouldn't workout 2 or less hours before bedtime.

    I would PREFER to work out in mornings, but just can't bring myself to get up that early. ;)

    So I work out after I get home from work, preferably closer to dinnertime because if I work out too late at night, I can't sleep. :/

    During the weekends, I work out in the afternoon.

    I work out during the day but one day I didnt have time and did it before bed. I still lost but I had troubles sleeping and I never have troubles sleeping. I figure it was the exercise :(

    I pick up my children/spouse after work and we go straight to the gym. I am usually home by 7 pm and eating dinner by 7:30.

    I exercise in the late afternoon after I get out of work. (There's NO WAY I'm getting up at the crack of dawn to exercise before work. NO WAY!!) Sometimes I work out late mornings on the weekends. I figure anytime is a good time if you're exercising!

    Anytime that you will do it, is the best time to excersise.

    i usually work out later in the day. i really like it. after i work out, i get tired. :) that doesn't work for my friend though. she works out and she gets energized, so she does it in the morning.

    I work out in the morning. If I wait, I wont do it. I get up earlier than the crack of dawn to do it. Somedays I get energizes some days I dont. Depends on how I push myself. I Usually obliterate myself though.
