Who else LOVES the burn that comes after an intense strength training session?
I went to an ab blast class (15 mins of ab and core exercises) last night and definitely feeling the burn today - LOVE IT!! I feel cheated if I don't feel a burn the next day, who else feels the same?

Nevermind- I don't know how to communicate properly.0

No I effing hate it.0

I very rarely get it anymore. I don't feel cheated- it's just conditioning.
I get it a lot still...and i love me some DOMS0 -
I get it after I do shoulder press with my little dumb bells!0

I like it. It's like being aware of my body and of every muscle moves, how it's been impacted by my effort. It's so encouraging.0

Love it, but rarely get it anymore. Unless a do a. Completely different exercise then my normal burns.0

Dont really get alot of DOM's after a year or so of training. Legs can still bother me for up to 3-4 day after workout and chest can be verry tight the next 2 days after alot of incline. No DOM's doesnt mean your training isnt hard enough, means your diet is working!0

Honestly, I'm not into pain of any kind. Fortunately, I don't really get DOMS anymore. What I do like is that point in your workout when your heart rate is high, you are sweating buckets, and you feel tingly and alive. Now that's fun!0

After you've been lifting for a while, DOMS pretty much goes away unless you change up your routine and do something pretty significantly different than what you were doing before. I don't mind a bit of an ache, but hate it starting out (or re-starting after a layoff) when you can't walk or raise your arms above your shoulders the next day!0 -
A little soreness to remind me of a job well done is ok. But not a big fan of times when I can hardly stand up or sit down the next day. I would rather be able to lift 5 lbs more than last time with no burn, rather than lift the same or worse but "feel the burn" per se.0

i am sick and twisted..i like it when i can barely sit on a chair0 -
I've always been a fan of the burn, except when I have to hold onto something when bending down to pull myself back up....0

I'm still increasing intensity and weights and I use to feel the burn, but not so much these days...and I'm jumping to joy over it. Because I literally can...because I can walk all by myself the next day. Hurra!0

Just getting into lifting...as I type this my legs are reminding me of my workout yesterday...and I get this long lasting burst of energy after lifting. I kinda dig it, however going to the bathroom tomorrow is going to suck. I get the worst DOMs the second day. :ohwell:0

I love the burn . It makes me feel like I am doing something for my body. It is a reminder that I am building new strength.
For example, on long run days, if I don't have some difficulty walking for a few hours after, then I didn't work hard enough. lol0 -
2 days after my ab blast class - still feeling the burn.
Feeling it reaching to the high selves, crouching and bending down to the lower shelves (I work in a department store) and even standing up after sitting for half an hour on my lunch break (a couch chair that let me sink in...I love those chairs hehe).
Encouraging to know there will be some nice abs once I get rid of the layer of fat on top of them :laugh:0 -
