Whey Protein

I have been taking protein as part of my diet but needing advice on what other products would be good. Im doing insanity DVD and going to start running of a morning. Im looking at losing my gtut which is going well, once i have my body properly in order i want to slowly build up but only in the proper manner. I thought of creatine to help my muscle burn.

What is other people using and what are the benefits?

Creatine, which your body naturally produces and which is found in meat, doesn't have anything to do with burn.....

Creatine pushes more water into your muscles which allows you to do more reps and sets. It doesn't do much of anything to aid cardio type exercises.

Your biggest right now is you aren't giving your body enough calories. The bare minimum for that program is 1800 calories, which is what most woman eat. Also, if you add additional exercise, you should do weight training not running. Insanity is already blasting the same muscle way too often, so adding running will only make it worse. Without another workout, you will get better results at 2400 or more calories. Use the link below to determine your amount you need.

Now with whey, if you struggle to get enough protein, then you can use it at the supplement. Find one that taste good. I am actually using EAS's recovery drink and love it. But I also use body fortress or muscle milk. I used creatine but it hurt my stomach, so I stopped but it did help me push a bit harder.

As I said, for cardio creatine doesn't do much. Creatine is used mainly by weight lifters. To do more weight, sets and reps. Insanity really isn't weight lifting so I doubt it would help much. I've taken it off and on. I didn't find that it did anything for me. I may be a nonresponder.

Thanks for the advice psulemon I hear what your saying I am struggling with the calories, got go shopping next friday so we are going to get things that will boost up to the calories. I think it would be a good idea to start weight training instead of all cardio, ill have to think about that.
