Product Comparisons, Generic vs. Name Brand

Recent discovery: Walmart now sells a generic nonfat Greek yogurt with the same grams of protein per serving (23g) as Fage, my usual brand, but with 10 fewer calories per serving and at $1 less than I purchase a comparable amount of Fage through Sam's Club — $3.98 for 32 oz. Great Value brand vs. $4.98 for 35 oz. Fage. Major con: Walmart's brand has noticeably more sodium per serving (115mg vs. 87mg), a difference apparent upon the first bite. (As an aside, GV's Greek yogurt also appears less thick than Fage.) Sorry, Walmart, you lost me at sodium.

What generics would YOU recommend or not recommend over their name brand counterparts?

I can't think of any right now, but am replying so I can find this topic again more easily to add one later and to see other responses. Great idea for a thread!0

They are all made in the same factories on the same production lines. Just check the nutrition labels are good, check there is not lots of added sugar and salt.
I bought some Ryvita last week, it had sugar as it's second ingredient!! I was really cross and felt cheated.0
