weight gain in a week

So...I've basically completely fallen off the wagon this week!
I'll start with my excuse why..although its a terrible excuse and I should have had more self control.
So my boyfriend surprised me with a one week all inclusive 5* holiday in Egypt to celebrate our 10year anniversary..yay! I have been really good the past few months with my diet. Apart frm once a week when I allow myself a "cheat meal", everything I eat is fruit veg and meat..nothing processed, nothing out a package! I also exerciwe 4-6 times a week. When I heard about the holiday I initially thought "its fine there will be healthy options and I'll sue the gym every day." First 2 days..did great. But then it all went to cr*p! Even my boyfriend (who is extremely fit and active) was encouraging me to take the "oh screw it I'm on vaction" attitude..I had been so good for the few months as I said and it was a big celebration..plus he had paid big bucks! So all the things I have not been allowing myself (i have a crazy sweet tooth..the dessert section is my total weakness) and also alcohol (i allow myself wine but lay off the cocktails when I found out that just one can have up to 300cals!)..all of those types of things aas well as pasta pizza etc was totally not off limits for the remaining 5days. I relaly went a little overboard and now I am home I feel pretty guilty. I am not even getting on the scales for at least a week as I know they will definitely say I have gained..but my question is will that weight gain show PHYSICALLY in the coming few days? Starting from today I am back to my healthy eating and will hit the gym tonight. Worst part is I have a wedding in a week and dont wnt to look huge in front of all my friends and family.
So if for the next week I hit the gym like a fiend and am seriously strict with my diet..will I be ok? I'm not too concerned about the weight gain in terms of numbers because I know that will come off. Its more as I say how I look physically. I have the horrible genetic (Thnks dad) where the first place I gain weight is my face so I'm dreading the thought of people seeing my face a bit chubby nd thinking "uh oh she's let herself go!"
Ok end of my essay. Thanks in advance for aanyone's help and I hope you are all having a great weekend

i just went on a all inclusive trip to mexico for 1 week and i was at my lowest weight ever in the month of dec right up till i left on the 29th of dec. I exercised on vacation, ate healthy and i still gained 5 lbs. i was stumped to see the scale when i got home. I felt it when i was there after day 3 b/c my belly was popping way out. I figured i always gain 1-2 lbs and it's always water weight from sodium but i have no idea what happened this time. I didn't have the " screw it" attitude i'm on vacation kinda mind... i drank tons of water too, and hardly and booze yet... so what gives? who knows.. it's been 2 weeks today since i have been home and i still have 4 of the 5 lbs to come off0

Sorry but I am glad you enjoyed the holiday. With your determination prior to the holiday, don't worry, it will shift. Did you have a good holiday? This is th most important question x0

Life occasionally takes precedence and sometimes we indulge. Sometimes we indulge a little too much. That's okay. It doesn't make us failures - it makes us human. The weight may show, though if it does, it will likely only be something you can visibly see. And it shouldn't take more than a couple of weeks to take it off. If you did well before, then anything you're carrying now should be water-weight mixed in with a few actual pounds. No big deal.
