you must leave the gym sweaty and disgusting wanting a shower - otherwise it was not worth it.
Go for a combination of cardio, weights, stretching, toning and try and do repetitions of sets so that you are not doing all your cardio in one go etc.
Interval training is the best because your heartbeat has to go through the whole range of levels from resting to fat burning and it is much better than staying at very high or very low.
ask them to do you a personal programme to focus on your problem areas and ask what you can do at home to support it.0 -
definetly do some weights. weights > cardio for fat loss. look up a beginners compound routine. and if you still want to do cardio, do a 30min walk or 10-20mins of intervals AFTER weight training.
too much cardio will result in burning through dietary protein or even muscle stores which can keep your body fat percentage the same or even increase it.0 -

I have to agree with all...weights. I do 30 minutes cardio and 45 minutes weight training.0

Eye exercises. There are loads of opportunities to do eye exercises at the gym. Look left...look away. Look right...look away. Check out that butt..look away...0

I used to do lots of cardio. For the last few months I have been focusing more on weights, and I like what it has done to my body.
I do about 5 minutes on the stairmaster ( its about all I can handle) with about 20 minutes on the treadmill to finish my warm up, then I head to the weights. Depending on the day, I do a combination of :
barbell squats
deadlifts
leg press
pull ups
dumbbell pec flies
dumbbell chest press
assisted pull ups
lat pull down
triceps dips
tricep extensions
bicep curls
back extensions
hip adduction/abduction
calf raises0
