Here we are: I quit.

At first, I weighed around 160. Then, I went to 137. I'm 5'11, that's kinda low.
I did it without cheat meals, or anything. I was like a food nazi. Counted absolutely everything, it consumed me.
I am now in the greatest shape of my life. (Aside from the fact I've been binging, and it's getting old and annoying) so, to help kill the beast, I think I quit.
I love this sight, I'll definitely get it on all the time still, but I won't be so caught up in tracking my calories. I'll get on for the message boards and support.
I need to learn to eat without an app to turn to. I've done this long enough. Plus, come June 17th, my *kitten* will be on a miliatary base and I won't even have the option to use it, nor will I have healthy food to eat. Processed meats and packaged MRE's, NOMNOMNOM. Haha, wish me luck out there, I'll probably slowly transition into not logging, but feel free to message me if you want advice, workout tips, recipes, or just want to talk, I'm always here <3

Good luck. Going in to the military in great shape is the best way to do it.

Congratulations and thank you for your service.
You may gain weight but it will be all muscle.
When I was in boot camp many, many years ago they made the fat guys "chow runners"
That meant they had to run to the chow hall and let them know we were coming, then they had to run back and tell us the time we had to be there.
I was a skinny kid so I never had to be chow runner and it sounds like you wouldn't be either.
    Good luck.

Know what I ate in boot?
I lived on crackers and jelly because the food was horrid. I still lost weight and gained muscle.
I was 5'9", and weighed in at 155 when I graduated. I weighed heavy, but I was a STICK!
    Congrats on your decision.

I quit tracking a while ago too, I had started binging and never had before in my life before MFP. I reevaluated and decided I needed to quit being OCD with counting calories. I am using all the healthy things I learned while doing mfp - about portions, I still don't eat chips and soda and desserts all the time, etc. I'm still exercising. I have actually been losing more steadily doing it this way, was a weird transition to suddenly stop with the tracking, but for me, it's better, especially for my mental health. You'll be fine, just don't return to old, original habits. Edited to add my binging has been non-existent since quitting tracking. It took a few days in the beginning to get my brain back to normal, but my binging thoughts are gone now.
