Hi,
Just wondering if anyone could tell me what they think of this. I work through the week and enjoy going to the gym every night after work, but on a weekend I just can't motivate myself! Is it ok to work out 5 days in a row, then rest all weekend? (obviously I don't follow a lifting day with another lifting day etc)
Thanks for any advice!

Well, it's generally a good thing to have at least one rest day. I think it's fine. If your goals are losing weight, improving fitness etc, then 5 days should be plenty. If you feel like it, you could make one of those weekend days an active rest day where you do something a bit gentler, like gong for a walk, or doing some yoga. It doesn't all have to be in the gym!0

My "off" days are usually spent doing chores, listening to the mp3 player, and dancing around like a loon. Not strenuous activity, but I am moving. And my actual rest day is when I try to catch up on reading or whatever.0
