Never forget that feeling

Went to a wedding reception yesterday...beautiful wedding and I wore a dress I've worn to the last three weddings...black (of course) and I realized that I ALWAYS wear black to try to hide the fat (It doesn't work). I felt so self-conscious. I didn't even want to get up out of my chair for any reason, or dance, with I love to do, and that made me sad. To feel trapped by this stupid weight. I am feeling depressed, but motivated at the same time. I hope I can do this.

No hoping, you CAN do this! Take your time, be patient and honest with yourself and don't make drastic changes too quickly. When I started here last May, I wasn't convinced I could lose weight but figured if I was tracking my calories and didn't go over my goal at least I wouldn't gain more. Looking back at my pre-MFP pictures, I too realized that black didn't really hide anything and wasn't very flattering. No more black clothes for me...ever! I actually wore a fuchsia dress to a party recently, I felt great and got quite a few compliments. I even danced. You can absolutely do this. :flowerforyou:
