i'd say 1st thing in the morning. if you do it during the day your weight will fluctuate do to water, food and such.0

Generally, the best time to weigh in is first thing in the morning. Don't weigh in everyday, though. Try maybe every 3 days and at a consistent time of the morning (before breakfast).0

Same time a day, on same scale, that prefferable has not been moved. Around once a week is a good starting point, can be less if you want, and I preffer to do it in the morning as I change what I eat from day to day, but some may choose to do it after a workout or before bed. Find what works for you0

i weigh in on a Monday am because it keeps me good on the weekends. I know a lot of people weigh on Fridays so they have some time to let loose a little on the weekends and work it back off by weigh in day.
If your referring to "true weight" the best time is first thing in the am, after going to the washroom, and naked0 -
Right is what works best for you, but the key is consistency. Same time, same conditions. I weigh first thing in the AM, right after I get up and go to the bathroom, in my PJs. So the baseline conditions are the same each time. You might think about weighing only once per week (or even month) instead of every day, so that the normal daily fluctuations in weight don't drive you batty.
Also realize that if you eat quite differently than usual one day, add lot of sodium (which can happen when you eat out especially), drink more or less water, alcohol, coffee, etc., start exercising, change exercises, have your time of the month, or many other things, you may see a sudden increase on the scale the next day and for several days. But that doesn't mean you suddenly gained fat, just your body changing how much water it holds in response to some change. That's why a lot of people don't weight every day, so they see the overall trend but not as much the fluctuations.
Consider taking measurements every week or two, as sometimes you see changes in measurements and not in the scale.
Good luck!0 -
There is nothing wrong with weighting yourself daily, if you understand that your weight will fluctuate a few pounds. I've run the gambit on how often. I used to weight every day first thing in the morning. I would also weigh myself right before bed as a game to see how much weight I'd lose over night. Now, I just weight my self once or twice a week. The simple truth is, If you are in a deficit you are losing weight. So if you know you have your "diet" locked in, you really don't have anything to worry about. So weigh yourself when ever you need to. It seems that some people get crazy with it though.0

I also weigh every morning after going to the bathroom, naked. I know I'll fluctuate. Doing it daily takes the pressure off a once a week 'weigh in'. That would make me feel disappointed or frustrated if it stayed flat or went up.
If it goes up a pound after one day, I just shrug and figure it will go down the next.0 -
It's really not rocket science0

as soon as you wake up0

I weigh in the afternoons, but that's because that's the only time I can get to a scale. (I don't have one at my house.) But whenever works for you, as long as you understand that the later the day, the more likely the daily fluctuation will be in effect. Just be consistent.0
