I work in a retirement village, and at the moment in the UK we have quite a lot of snow. As a country who doesn't have much of this kind of weather we aren't very prepared for it.

They didnt grit the roads of the retirement village as its private property and fresh snow fell on top of ice today. I was cleaning some tables outside my shop and i saw a resident (male) fall smack to the ground. Not thinking about my own safety i jogged over (Can't run) got him back up on his feet and walked him over to my shop and gave him a dusting down and a cup of tea and then walked him back to his flat.

Although i think he was a bit embarrased that a young female came to his rescue i felt so warm inside at my good deed for the day.

When was the last time you felt the same thing for something nice you have done for someone? Or maybe something that someone did for you?

i love random acts of kindness.

just this morning i was getting coffee for everyone and the woman in front of me realized she didnt have her wallet for a rather large order, so i offered to pay for it. she was so grateful she took down my info and promised to send a check. i told her it was fine, i didnt mind. she thanked me so much i was almost embarrassed. very sweet. i got all fuzzy inside.

i also like paying for the person behind me in line at a toll bridge. its such a small gesture that people are so grateful for.

Last week I went to get tiny teddies from the vending machine at work. The guy in front of me asked me what I was getting, when I told him he bought them for me. I work in a big building so we don't even know each other. I thought it was really sweet

And the other day coming back from the gym the bus driver said because there was nobody else on the bus and it was late ish he'd drop me off much closer to my place than the route normally allows.

I haven't really done much personally lately, I should. The last thing I did was put money in a parking meter that had expired a couple weeks ago.

It's really nice when people do a nice little touch like that. The bus driver is a legend - they wouldnt do that round here!
