Shin splints!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone have suggestions on how to treat these evil, evil shin splints????

Stop running. Seriously, they can take up to 2 weeks to heal. You don't want to push it as you can cause bigger fractures. You can try wrapping them to help alleviate pain/discomfort. Ice may help too. What causes it is taking on too much mileage too quickly. When I got shin splints I had gone from running 2 miles to 6 miles. It was too much too quick. Let your bones heal and they'll heal back stronger, just as your muscles do. In the meantime you can do cycling or elliptical training to keep in shape.0
