Protein overload?

I have not really paid much attention to what I was eating. If I felt like I wanted something, I would eat it. I did not weigh or measure. Now, not only do I weigh or measure everything, I am blown away by my choices.
On my food diary daily (and I am eating every two hours), I have found that I go over on protein and way low on the carbs (despite eating fruit and veggies). I know that there is the adkins diet, etc and this is not my goal. I am just eating what sounds good....no matter what it is (Yes, I ate Cheetos!! weighed out and logged). I am under the calorie goal every day.
So, my question is this: Is there any problems with this for long term success?

Unless you have renal problems, it won't hurt you. The MFP default setting for protein is really low. I set mine for 40% 30% and 30%.0

Whose protein and carb goals, the MFP default? If so it's fine to go over/ under the protein is a minimum. Just eat a balance of all the food groups so you lose weight healthily, fruit and veggies supply carbs and vitamins but they don't sub for beans, lentils or wholegrains in terms of minerals and fibre. Try to keep processed/ junky/ refined/ sugary foods to maximum 10% daily calories.0

How do you reset the MFP settings. I tend to prefer a bit more protein than carbs also.0

I was just reading how if women want to gain muscle, the current recommendations aren't really enough to maintain and grow muscle... Here's the article I read:
