Hi Guys
How do you maintain your social life without ruining your diet?
I am normally quite good at keeping to my diet, exercising etc when I'm alone during the week, but then the weekend comes along, and friends want to go for dinner, or go for a drink, and my diet is blown. Even if someone suggests seeing a movie during the week, it means a night with no exercise and usually going for a bite to eat first. Unfortunately I don't have so many friends that I can afford to say no all the time - so my question is, how do you maintain a social life without ruining all your hard work?

I work out harder than usualy before I go out that night so I have more "room" for stuff. I get a salad or veggy wrap if i have to, and usually if I am drinking I get whatever beer I want. Can skate on beer haha, even if I have to go home and do elliptical after.0

I totally know what you mean about not having time also since my work shifts are 13 hours. On work days I never used to work out. Now I fit it in. Only 10 mins of hard cardio burns enough for a beer haha. I try to do 30 mins a day.0

I agree that going out is the hardest part. I actually look up menus and calories on line, plan how many drinks, put all this on MFP for calories for day. I end up always eating too much and since I am drinking, I want to eat more. I get right back on plan the next day and work really hard all week.
I decided to use this "time out" as something to look forward to. I do need to get better at talking more, drinking less and eating prior to going out at least a little so I am not so hungry.0 -
I have exactly the same problem. I spend the weekend at friends mostly and you cant really say no to what ever food or drink they offer without seeming completely rude. At the moment I try and counter balance by being extra good monday to friday lunch time and sundays and then its only fri nite and saturday that I have to contend with.0
