MY INTRO. 22yo Male looking to Lose 65lbs

Hello,

I'm chris and trying to lose 65 more pounds. So far I've lost 9 pounds in the last week. My diet and workout plans are below.


Diet:
Breakfast: 2eggs w/ cheese and salsa
Lunch: 4oz of Chicken w/ steamed vegetables (sauces allowed)
Dinner: 4oz of chicken w/ steamed vegetables (sauces allowed)
Snack: 1 kiwi fruit and 5tbsp of mixed berries
Suppliments: Whey Protein, Lean Vita Pak Stack, Pre workout drink

Workout:
day1: chest and triceps
day2: back and biceps
day3: leg day
everyday I do 10 min of cardio on the teadmil

I technically started this plan on 13 Jan13 and have already lost 9 pounds.

    Good job. Great going that is! After reading this at many places I feel I need to incorporate strength training in my schedule.

    Well done!Yes strength training will help to lose a lot of weight over a period of time.It seems for girls,physio in my gym suggests we should do more repetitions with less weights.Strength training is crucial to weight control, because individuals who have more muscle mass have a higher metabolic rate. Muscle is active tissue that consumes calories while stored fat uses very little energy. Strength training can provide up to a 15% increase in metabolic rate, which is enormously helpful for weight loss and long-term weight control. You burn more when you replace every pound of fat with a muscle!
