I've had my stationary bike for 5 weeks now.... when I first got it, I struggled to pedal a mile on the darned thing, but I'm a bit Irish, (accounts for the fact that I'm STUBBORN) so I've kept it up.
My limit has been 8 miles for about a week and a half now, just couldn't seem to break that imaginary limit..... my max was averaging 8 miles in about 48-55 minutes.
I was tired this morning, not enough sleep last night, hadn't gotten my "long" ride in yet this week..... figured I'd put a movie in for our little guy and I to watch..... was hard to get my heart rate "in the zone" on my hrm.... really struggled for the first two miles, then did better once I warmed up..... hit 6 miles.... was feeling pretty good by then.... hit 7 1/2 miles, was tired, and told myself I would keep going until I reached an hour of exercise, kept repeating "I can do this, I can do this" in my head as I pedaled......
AND GUESS WHAT?!?!
10.5 miles.
60:55 mins.
*dancin around, happy and proud*
I'm getting stronger!!!!!!!!! :drinker:  :drinker:
I love my exercise bike!!!   Whodathunkit???!!

That is super exciting!!! I used to be able to do about 10 miles on the bike last summer. Do you have resistance levels? I found I would start on level 4, then climb 2 levels at a time, get up to level 10, then slowly go down so my cool down wasn't as bad and I could do 10 miles in about an hour too! Maybe you're just faster The stationary bike at my new gym is sooo much harder though. I can barely stay on it for 30 minutes on level 4. Or I'm just really out of shape, lol!
Anyway, awesome job!!0
