Offsetting calories burned

OK, I can log when I am on an elliptical/treadmill/arc/etc... What about when I'm keeping my heart rate up while I'm lifting as well? I've looked at 11 pages of threads and nothing. Thoughts?

Are you asking about logging the weight lifting for a calorie burn? If so, log it under Cardio - strength training is in the database.

My favorite is getting into a deep squat and doing punches with handweights or weighted gloves, great for the back and hamstrings :)

Weight lifting burns calories at a very different rate than cardio, so your HRM is not a good judge. Use the MFP values or this calculator (http://www.fitclick.com/calories_burned?srch=weight+lifting) if you want an approximation, but my understanding is that there really isn't a simple way of making accurate calculations.

Exactly what I'm looking for. Looks like someone else's comment covers how to do it properly! :)
