Why do people refrain themselves at Chipotle?

I mean, you're paying $7 in the end for this cheap quasi-Mexican food that's not even healthy to begin with (you ever see those bottles of soybean oil they douse the food with?!).
I see people ordering like weak salad bowls with no rice and beans, but with extra meat. Or people who are afraid of tortillas and guacamole.
It's Chipotle lol.... just have at it.
Gonna go there for lunch in a few and not leaving without a newborn baby in my bag.

I don't want a flour tortilla. I like my salad bowl with extra meat. OMG MEAT!0

Yeah, but the way I build a burrito, it is nearly 1100 calories (tortilla, chicken, black beans, corn salsa, cheese, sour cream). :sad:0

I have 2 bowls that I get there, one is ~660 cal the other double meat has ~ 770 (usually when I have a good workout that day). Very easy to work in to a day, and leaves me stuffed.0

Because some people don't like to eat a lot of carbs? Or some people really like salads? Or they're there with a friend and want to choose the healthiest option possible because their friend didn't want to go to Subway?0

HA... that's usually the scenario with me and my boyfriend. He can only take Subway in small doses, so this is usually the alternative. Burrito bowls are yummmmmo anyways.0 -
The rice there is so good though. How can you omit rice? It's so tangy and fluffy. Ask for two scoops.0

Not everyone just restricts calories. You may eat your set amount of, lets say, 2000 cals a day. The person a couple of spots down may be on the same diet, but with adjusted macros to watch protein/carbs/fats in their diet. Cutting rice drastically cuts down carbs, holding back on the beans helps more and leaving the tortilla behind just saved you a bunch more.
The same idea can be applied to Subway. You may walk in their with healthy intentions but walk out with something that can probably compare to a small meal at McDonalds.
Maybe those people went out with a group of co-workers or friends and didn't want to be left behind? Granted, it isn't the healthiest place to eat, but, there are way around consuming bad foods and enjoying yourself socially.0
