I was wondering if anyone can recommend a healthy eating/low fat cook book. I've been using the Hairy bikers book since September, but I'm getting bored of it now! I've seen some great blogs but I really enjoy having an actual book to browse over.

Thanks a lot

I have a copy of Appetite For Reduction and I love it (it's vegan)

Check out the website allrecipes.com . You can search their huge database by ingredient and can also specify low fat or any number of other criteria. A lot of recipes that have plenty of oil in them I will make, but just reduce the oil substantially. If I'm making something in the crockpot I may omit oil entirely.

I'm with you; as much as I appreciate and utilize the Internet for 90% of my food preparation-related browsing, call me old-fashioned but there is something to be said for a tangible book.

My cookbook crush lately is EatingWell's "The Simple Art of EatingWell: 400 Easy Recipes, Tip and Techniques for Delicious, Healthy Meals." In the opinion of the dust jacket, "[This cookbook] is to healthy cooking and this generation what Julia Child's masterpiece 'Mastering the Art of French Cooking' was to Americans in the 1960s: simply put, the definitive how-to guide every home cook should have today." Healthy food options, beautiful accompanying photographs, nutritional information (What I wish every cookbook included!), and plenty of tips and tricks long the read. Check for it at your local library.
