NUTS & SEEDS

Hello! So I have currently been addicted to a homemade trail mix, filled with lots of nuts and dried fruit! All raw of course, but every time I enter it into MFP it takes all of my calories! I have usually a 1/4 cup or half of a 1/4 of different foods, and it eat throughout the day.
I understand it is high in certain areas, but is it a food that i can eat often? I heard almonds were a good fat but the way it steals my calories is very deceiving!
Also, I try to keep healthy snacks in my room, along with the chocolate I keep from holidays (never been touched) but I like to have rice cakes by quaker and those products, are they generally ok to eat?
Thank you so much! I would love to respond to all of your ideas, and maybe pass around some recipes on delicious snacks!
Love you all!

If you measure and track, nuts and seeds are a great daily snack. Healthy fats, a little protein, and filling. I believe HungryGirl.com has a trail mix with some lower calorie fillers (like a baby food puffed food that is only 25 calories a cup.) Nothing wrong with rice cakes, but there isn't anything great about them either. If you enjoy them, eat them; if not, eat something more nutritious or filling for the calories.0
