Looking to lose 50 lbs

My name is Mary, i'm a photographer from NW Oklahoma and a daycare teacher. In high school I was always small. Size 4 at my highest. Then I graduated, had a baby boy then a year and a half later, a baby girl. I was a steady 150-155 for a year after she was born then got divorced. Within 3 months I went from 150 to 108. Was remarried, had another baby, and was a steady size 9 until I got pregnant again with my 4th child. She is now almost 2 and I am 178 lbs.
And not at all happy. I am wanting to drop weight to 130. I am getting married(again) and want to be 50 lbs lighter on our wedding day. Luckily, I have about a year to get there. My biggest weakness is Dr. Pepper. I am horribly addicted. I drink at least 10 a day. I am totally cutting it out. I started MFP on Saturday and the last two days have gone over my count. Today I am doing the most I can to stay under it. Drinking tea, lots of water and for once, actually reading the calories per serving on my food labels.

Best of luck to you, Mary. 10 sodas a day? WOW! Keep logging everything, throw in some exercise and you WILL see results! Cheers!0

If you have such a weakness, switch to diet. It's not good for you, per se, but it is better for you than gulping down tons of calories just to wet your whistle. I have the same problem, but with diet coke. I am trying for water, but i'm still about 50/50 bcause water doesn't mix well in my adult beverages. :-) Congrats on the wedding, but make sure you are losing the weight for you. Good Luck!0
