Hey everyone-

I'm going to do the Body Works plus Abs class tonight at the gym, and am wondering how I should log it. It's basically an hour of some light cardio, lots of reps with 5-7lb hand weights, and some lunges/squats and ab work. It's not cardio, but I know I burn a fair amt of calories when I do it.

Thanks!
Katie

The only way to really tell how many calories you will burn would be to wear a HRM. It also depends a lot on your own weight and fitness. I would say an average of 250-300 calories would be close enough. The important thing to remember about doing strength training is that having more muscles in your body means you will burn more calories all day and night, even when you are not working out. That's a great thing!
