Yay, I just bought my first food scale! So excited to start using it and getting an accurate measure of my portion sizes. Happy weighing everyone!

It is amazing the difference in portions sizes when I was guessing. My food scale has made a huge difference.0

Just wondering what the biggest shockers when you got a food scale. What portions were out of this world wrong when measuring? My guess would be things like portions of nuts, or meats, as portion size is hard to measure.0

I just got one a week ago and I love it! Mine has 1,000 foods programmed into it. I weigh everything now. My husband thinks I'm crazy.0

My biggest shock was rice & pasta
Once I weighed 100 grammes of rice or pasta and saw just how small a portion they were it became apparent why I finished up fat, and TBH the portion is so small for the calorie cost I can't be arsed to even bother cooking it now0 -

Mine arrived today! I got a funky purple one from eBay lol.
It's definitely enlightening when you tart weighing properly! My portions of pasta/rice/potatoes before I started calorie counting were double what I actually need.0
