Do to some current injuries (having knee arthroscopy next week) and currently dealing with bad case of tennis elbow, I am thinking of trying qigong as my form of exercise while I recover. Anyone have any experience with this?

I studied Tai Chi Chuan for a few years, and it did wonders for my attitude. I think it would be good for you, as long as you stay within your limits. I pushed too hard and my knees aren't the same. Give it a try, I'm sure you'll love it!0

I've done tai-chi on an irregular basis (mostly I do it for stress relief), and it's GREAT for that. It does burn some calories too, which is a plus. Be sure to listen to your knees and you should have a good time.0

Qigong, my grandparents used to do it. It's more meditation than exercise. At least, they did not lose weight after they started.0

With the knee issue I am currently having, tai chi chuan might not be for me... my acupuncturist only does qigong and although not thin by any means has great muscle tone.. I just need something "gentle" to get me through my recovery0
