left overs?

When you record your values for each meal do you do so prior to the meal or after? I usually plan my day as i am a chef, i mostly home cook, and plan for the day knowing what i am going to prepare, but then what happens when you have left over food on your plate, is that just a bonus? or should you then delete your posted food diary and repost? What do you do?

If I do that, I usually just adjust the portion accordingly (3/4 of serving etc)0

You can edit the existing foods to adjust the portion size.
I do both. Sometimes I log as I am cooking, or when I pack a meal and know I am going to be getting home late. Or if i am going out to eat and excited about something at the particular restaurant and want to know how it fits into my day so that i can adjust earlier keals. More often, I log as I go. On Mondays, I work really long hours, so I pack a whole lot of food and log it as I go, knowing that I might substitute something with one of the non perishables I keep in my office.0
