Hi everyone,
I'm doing quite well so far but I find I NEED to have some chocolate every day. I stay under my calories so I'm still losing weight but I'd really like to cut it out and cut back my sugar and fat intake along with it.
I'm trying to avoid processed foods as much as I can so I'm looking for chocolatey recipes that I can make myself that are low in sugar and fat compared to actual chocolate. I won't eat any fake sugar either.
Please share anything you have that might get me out of my chocolate addiction!!
Thank you!

I use the sweetened version of blue diamond's chocolate almond milk after a workout since I always need the extra calories. It's 120 per cup. The unsweetened version is only 45 per cup if you're looking for something more conservative. It tastes just like chocolate milk to me so I feel like I'm getting a treat. Also, I like peanut butter & co's dark chocolate dreams on a rice cake. Chocolate and peanut butter together. It's so yummy!0

I always keep Dove Dark Chocolate Promises on hand.
They are my "fix" :blushing:
I used to crave brownies ALL THE DANG TIME, now I crave them once in a blue moon.
It has really helped to keep my DDCPs around.
I only allow myself 1 a day (if that) and so far it has been working for me
If you would like an actual recipe, I have a great one to share.
"Dangerous Chocolate Cake in a Mug"
Combine (in a 16oz. microwave safe dish) the following as explained below:
- 4 tbs cake flour (not self-rising)
- 4 tbs sugar (Sugar in the Raw is what I use)
- 2 tbs cocoa
- 1 egg
- 3 tbs milk
- 3 tbs oil OR applesauce
- splash of vanilla (optional)
- 3 tbs dark chocolate chips (optional)
Add and mix dry ingredients well with a fork.
Add egg, mix.
Add remaining ingredients, mix.
Cook for 3 minutes in (1000w) mircrowave.
It will rise, but don't be alarmed
Allow to cool and enjoy!
Calories etc vary depending on what you use/omit.
Hope I've been of some help

I keep bars of 86% coca from Ghirardelli. I eat either a square or half a square with either peanut butter (high cal but a GREAT snack) or with fruit to get more sweetness. A bite of apple and a nibble of chocolate is fabulous - eating a little with strawberries is even better.
My key to satisfaction is making sure I eat my dark chocolate only when I am able to totally focus and be in the moment to savor it. Then it's a powerful and lasting experience that gets me through the rest of the day. If I'm distracted or mindlessly eating it I just want more later.
Good luck!

Thanks everyone!
I think I'll pick up some chocolate almond milk and try the cocoa in greek yogurt.
I know I should eat dark chocolate but, but, but, creamy milk chocolate is soo gooood. :sad:0
