Normal??

I went to the Doctor on Wednesday where I found out I weighed 209.7. Today I stepped on the scale and weigh 203. That's 6 pounds in 5 days. Is this normal? I have been following a 1200 calorie diet and have been under my goal since I started. I eat what I like, just less of it. I weighed myself Saturday, the scale read 207.5. Just wondering if anyone else experienced the same.

Most likely it's a lot of water weight and not a lot of fat yet. However I would eat way more. I am short and weigh 149 ish and I am losing on 1800 calories a day. 1200 (and especially under 1200!) is too low.
  • My goal is actually 1200-1500. I am eating where I am full enough. I don't get hungry during the day. I just hate the feeling of being overly full. I will definately see about increasing though. Thanks for your input sweetie! =)

All scales are NOT created equal. You should track your weight on your own scale, using it in the same location all the time, at the same time of day.

You can only compare your weight at the doctor's office to the next time you weigh in at the doctor's office.
  • I am just wondering why is every scale different. I know when i go to the doctor is says something different then at home. But shouldn't they all be around the same weight when you are weighing yourself. I know you weigh less in the morning than in the afternoon because you have not eaten yet all day. But my brain cannot fathom the concept of weighing different on another type of scale other than your own, So how do you know what is accurate?
  • In the Doctor's office, I weight myself with shoes on. I am usually in and out. I don't know, they also have a digital scale. We will see when I see him in 2 weeks I guess.

    Thanks!
