Insanity Workout Advice Needed....

Hi Everyone
Not been on here in a while but wanted your advice.
I started the insanity workout and now into day 11, it's a challenging workout so looking forward to seeing the results at day 60! Good thing is I'm sticking religiously to the schedule so determined to push through out.
Currently I don't have much weight to lose however I weighed myself on the scales only to find that I put on 1lb which is rather disheartening as I was expecting a loss or could it be down to the new programme? Bearing in mind that I'm doing classes on top of this like spinning, weights etc. I'm already starting to feel a bit more toned so I must be doing something right? I guess perseverance is key?
Thanks

I am into my last two weeks of Insanity. In the first few weeks I put on a few pounds in water retention which took a while to go but it did eventually. However not to discourage you at all but I don't have much weight to lose either (less than 10 pounds) and I've lost nothing on Insanity, and despite working flat out during each workout, and following the nutrition guide I haven't lost any inches either. I've also been doing a few extra gym classes on the lighter days - such as dance fitness and body pump, I'm not sure I could handle doing spinning on top of Insanity, that's pretty full on! You might want to consider pulling back on the additional workouts in month 2 where the intensity really goes up (and it is not as awful as everyone says, I love the month 2 workouts) and so to make sure you aren't overtraining, because that could also potentially stall your results.
Some people get amazing results doing Insanity, but I think that if you don't have much weight to lose (and are already in pretty good shape) then Insanity can be a pretty frustrating programme - at least that is what I have found. Concentrate on the non-visible results and you'll be amazed though, my my fitness has improved unbelievably. The results from fit test 1 to the last fit test 4 were astonishing.0 -
I finished insanity just before christmas and was in a similar, not much to lose situation (I'd dropped almost 20 lbs before I started). I ended up not losing any weight but 2 pants sizes, and there is a noticeable difference in how "toned" my body looks now.0

That can be discouraging, right!? I'm the same way, I finally bought a scale after years of not wanting to be a slave to it. I log my weight every day but I also don't freak out about the number. Please just remember that your body is working hard regardless of what the scale says, of you are eating right, you will improve your body's form! Something I did that really helped was getting a good hrm (mine is Polar brand) and using it to determine A) how many calories I burn in 24 hours so that I can adjust my caloric intake and how many calories I am burning during each Insanity workout. I found that for whatever reason what MFP had as my caloric intake daily goal is extremely high. So, I cut back and my scale is moving. I'm on week 3 of Insanity and have done it a few times. It really is an awesome program! Stick with it and your body will thank you Stay strong, you are awesome for getting up and pushing that play button every day!0

Thanks guys for your support, slightly discouraged. I turn 30 at the end of may and have a 2 week holiday to turkey and frightened Incase I still look FAT! Starting to panic now to the extent I don't want to go anymore, it's so depressing. I just really hope this programme works0

I hope you are sticking through it. The hard work always pays off. Weight loss and healthy living is never an instant thing. It takes time and many changes. Good luck! Keep strong!0

If you travel it's best to take the DVDs and calendar with you. You can find some of the material online to download to your computer. There are also online calendars you can use on your computer and phone like www.insanity-workout-calendar.com Whatever you do stick with it, it'll be worth it.0

Stick with it if it interests you.
I'm doing my 3rd round now, I'm on Week 9 or Week 10, I dunno, I have one more week to go. I've lost no weight, but my belt is a notch tighter. And this workout really boosts my cardio and endurance.
A 5 mile run sounds relaxing right now.0
