How many calories to lose 100lbs??

I would like to lose 100lbs. I imagine it will take me about a year if I want to do it the healthy way. I am currently at 1,550 calories a day. I am wondering if this is too much or too little to obtain my goals? Any info would be great.

3,500 calories (or so) is 1 pound. 3,500x100=350,000 calories.
I would personally set 5-10 pound goals as stepping stones to that long term goal.0 -

That said, 1550 is probably ok at your current weight assuming this is what MFP calculated for you given your stats with no exercise. If you do exercise, your average daily intake should go up accordingly. Keep in mind that as you lose weight, your calorie needs will decrease so you'll either have to drop your calories, increase your exercise, or some combination of both to continue making progress. If you keep your calories too low from the beginning then drop them as you go, eventually you'll hit a wall & will have to do a reset to get going again & that can be a frustrating process.
If you start out eating as much as possible & still lose, it's much more comfortable to drop your calories as you go. Congrats on your commitment to getting healthy!0
