Hello Everyone! This is my 2nd day here and I wanted to know what is easier...weighing yourself and logging every day or waiting a week and weighing the same time every week? Thanks for the input!!

Hello I am fairly new also. I started my weight loss journey about 2 weeks ago. I started out weighing myself every day but I have found that it is easier & you dont get discouraged as much if you just weigh yourself once a week since your weight will flexuate from day to day. Also, to get the most accurate results, it is better to weigh yourself after you wake up. Hope this helped!0

I log in everyday but I don't weight myself everyday. I usually input my weight once a week. I will weight twice a week if I've been really good and my clothes feel better. I log in to read my friends post because they helps me stay in control on days when I want to binge.0

I don't know that one is better than the ore, it's just personal preference. I prefer to weigh once a week, on Saturday mornings. I don't like to see the daily fluctuations AND I like see a bigger loss, by having more days in between weigh-ins.0

Neither is 'easier' it's a decision based on personal preference.
Some people weigh daily. Some people weigh weekly. Some people weigh monthly.
I wanted to acquaint myself with the daily fluctuations of my body so I wouldn't be so tied to the numbers on the scale when I showed a 'gain' so I weigh daily, but only log weekly. All weighing is done at the same time each day, and the same day each week.0 -

personal opinion, but i would'nt weigh every day, you'll end up upsetting yourself cause your weight will naturally go up and down. go for once a week weigh in and see how it goes.
good luck0 -

I do this as well
my reasons? to see how my body reacts to what I am eating. if I have a bad day, the next morning I see how that relates to my how I weigh and how I feel.
as time goes on, I find myself doing this less and less.
BUT this is not for someone who is fixated on the numbers. if you care too much about the scale, this will KILL your motivation.0 -
As others have said, you have to figure out what works best for you. I have found that weighing myself everyday is too frustrating. So for me, I weigh myself at the same of the day (first thing in the morning) and on the same day. Good luck to you!0

Yea I agree. I used to weigh in and log it every day. It was so demotivating and my weightloss chart just showed so many peaks and troughs. I'm on my second week of weighing once a week and now hoping that the chart will just go steadily downwards. Plus I'm less stressed out about my weight - by weighing every day it was basically all I thought about all day every day - that days weigh in and tomorrow's weigh in.
Just eat less, move more and enjoy the benefits
The only thing I would add is log your food every day and MEASURE YOUR FOOD and I mean using scales or cups. Not by sight. Believe me when I actually measured out a portion of cereal it was about a quarter of what I thought a portion of cereal was!!0
