counting salad calories

tonight i am going to be making a nice salad for myself for dinner and i was wondering how you guys count the calories? i am going to be throwing romaine lettuce, bib lettuce, red pepper, tomato, and cucumber together in a huge bowl so that i can eat it through out the week for lunches and stuff. each item will have a calorie count, so should i just average them out? like a cup of romaine lettuce is 5 cal (says the calorie counter), but i will have little bits of the other things in there as well.
should i just say that a bowl full of veggies is going to be about 50 - 100 calories? i am not counting the dressing and boiled egg i will be adding to it.

Create a recipe under the "Food" tab. Add all the food items in the bowl, then determine how many servings that will be. MFP does the math for you. Then each day, just add a serving from your recipe.0

I think she meant that she won't be counting those as part of the salad, just veggies. She'll be calculating dressing, egg, etc. separately.0 -

I did a search for something like mixed salad greens or tossed salad (can't quite remember). Two cups of something like that is only 15-20 calories. Anything more calorie dense (like grated cheese or salad dressing), I measure and log separately.0

yeah leaves have like no cals. i calculate max 50 calories for a giant bowl of leaves no matter the kind, then add in extra calories for things like tomatoes, etc.0
