Hi All,
I have just joined the site and am eager to get started. I started dieting last week when I got the flu (ugh). After not eating for almost a week, I decided it was a good starting place for a move to better eating. I am a vegetarian and eat well, but tend to over eat after dinner. I thought after a week of non eating I must have lost a ton of weight...but alas, i did not. I am 5'2 and workout at least 5 days a week doing 30 or more minutes of cardio and light weight lifting and ab work. I weigh 130 but want to weigh 120. I have been close...1.5 years ago I was at 123, but I could not sustain it. I did that with jenny Craig (and cannot look at that food again)....1,200 a day and working out 1 to 2 hours a day. :frown:
So i am logging calories and only get 1200 a day. I'd love to lose a pound a week....but suspect there will be weeks I don't, and need motivation to continue when I don't see movement on the scale.
I appreciate hearing your stories and successes.

Welcome to MFP! I am fairly new as well (this is my third week) but I am actually learning to enjoy my new lifestyle! Logging all of your food and working out will make you feel healthier, and the results scale and tape measure will follow.
Feel free to add me as a friend if you would like some motivation! I love seeing motivating posts and success stories on my newsfeed!
Take care, and good luck!0 -
Thank you xxghost! I will add you. Kathy0
