And thought I'd say hi. I started dieting in November after a breakup (I put on some near the end that I was not proud of) and after a 'decent' start of 5-7 lbs started to get serious with feedback. I got a fitbit on for the holidays and joined MFP. Numbers work great for me (when Atkins was a thing, I was ridiculous with it), and I really got serious by getting a kitchen scale to really see what a portion is. I just got the fitbit aria, which shows a little more weight loss than I expected from my previous scale, so I know I'm on a good track. Just running and walking a little each day, even in these colder NYC days- I even walked from Spanish Harlem to Flushing this weekend, logging 20 miles for the day!

I've been reading the posts and getting some good advice, like not under-eating lest I ruin my metabolism. Looking forward to gaining more insight and reins on this struggle.
