It works - promise... Squats use a lot of muscle - not just legs...Squats with weights use even more of your core (including abs:bigsmile: )
Deadlifts use your whole body, including core (and abs!)
Lunges don't use legs only - core again...
I did NO official ab exercises for six months (as in sit-ups crunches etc) did lots of heavy weights (squats and such) and could see a visible difference in my abs....Did a bunch of push-ups with the weight work - but push-ups are only suppose to work your arms and back, isn't it? :drinker:

i mean i totally agree with all major work outs work the core .. no doubt there i was talking about purely isolating the abs in a routine ,,, i keep hearing planks planks planks .. but i just dont feel much from them

Heavy front squats destroy my core/abs

Hanging leg raises is the only isolation movement I bother with

I never really feel my abs during squats and such.

    X4 weighted crunches
    X4 weighted leg raises
X4 weighted captain chairs with twist.
    X4 decline weighted crunches.

Follow it all up with some mason twists unweighted for the cardio effect.
