I had no idea! 550 for 1 cup and that doesnt include if you add cheese...Those will be going on the ban list.

    That has to be 1 cup uncooked. I use the instant packets sometimes and they only have 150 uncooked.
    Edited to say it is 100 per pack. Shamefully I use a pack and a half which makes it 150.

    I use quaker instant grits (individual packets) its 100 cals per pack.

    I eat the individual packets which are 100 calories each. I add one teaspoon of light butter & that's just enough to make it taste great!

    Yeah...whatever one else said....Go back and look at that again. I bet that is for 4 servings.

    Oh lordy! y'all scared me for a minute. Good to know that is the before cooked calories. I love grits although I don't eat them often as I used to. 1 cup of uncooked is enough to feed a WHOLE lot of people. I usually only cook about a 1/4 cup for our family and still have some left overs.
