Hey everyone, Kaitlin here.
I have been feeling a little down lately. I am at the heaviest I have every been at 191 according to my scale this morning. All through high school I was pretty active and playing 2 sports. Once college came around, I didn't have enough time to play sports. I was a nursing major and it took about 95% of my time. I also had the "i'm invincible" mentality. Unfortunately it caught up with me.
Recently I moved to a more urban setting and my gym is literally 10 minutes from my apartment. So I guess I don't really have an excuse not to go. Been hitting the gym 3-4 times a week with a couple of friends doing about 40-50 minutes of cardio. Haven't really noticed any results yet, but I think im going to wait two weeks before i hop on the scale again.. I dont think my heart could take it any sooner.. ugh.
I've also tried to eliminate junk food out of the diet. It's not as easy as I thought. It's been about two weeks now and all I want in life is a nice cheese burger
. Really looking forward to joining the community and getting some good recipes.

Welcome!!! Great job getting to the gym!!! I've been going to the gym on a regular basis and haven't seen a drop too much in lbs. I do see where my clothes are fitting looser in different areas. DON'T give up!! Once you give yourself 3 weeks..it will be a habit to get to the gym and you will feel bad if you don't go. - at least that's where I'm at.0

Thanks! I'm getting into the situation where I leave the gym.. and then want to go back a little bit later because I am bored... and when I am bored I notice I eat. I've tried picking up a book and reading a few chapters to take my mind off of things. I understand it is important to rest and let your body heal so I wouldn't go right back to the gym after being there. Been trying to go every other day or at least 3x a week.0
