ViSalus?

My mom's friend sent me a link to her ViSalus website....

This is what I found on CBC.ca and this is a radio show quick overlook:

http://www.cbc.ca/morningedition/episode/2012/02/08/visalus-and-health-claims/

And they both live in Saskatchewan, the place where this radio show was speaking from...

But I cannot find much information on this stuff.... has anyone used it? My mom said it's a shake and stuff like that as she received a free sample from her friend and now her friend wants to send me free samples as well.

I am really skeptical and NOT one of "diets" or fads, but she has lost 40 inches off her waist from it and I have a morning shake every day... so I was thinking it wouldn't be a bad idea to try it - but I just don't want to do something bad for myself when I am on a roll like right now .

If anyone has tried it or heard about it, please let me know. I'm super skeptical, even though she's my moms life long best friend. Haha

Thanks everyone!!

Look up the other 1000 threads about this and read what most people think of it.

This is also known as body by vi. It's another fad protein drink that people use to loose weight. I've tried it, but decided the old fashioned way was better (eat real, better food, and move more).

    Hey!
I use Body Bi Vi shakes and everyone has their own opinion as to why or why not people should have meal replacement shakes. For myself I have one shake a day for breakfast. I am not much of a breakfast eater and my stomach is sensitive to what I eat first thing. I feel it gives me a great kick start to my day, my body has been able to digest food very well, I dont have such harsh cravings and it keeps me full for a few hours.I have tried a couple other protein shakes and havent liked the taste. The shakes are very convenient for a busy life style and I love just being able to put it in a bottle and drink it throughout the morning at work.

You have been on here since November and your ticker says you have lost zero. Let us know if we can help you lose the weight, there are tons of very informed people on here that have lots a lot eating real food and yes of course it's fine to have a shake when you can't eat or are too busy. No need to pay a lot though.

I have been doing Body by Vi since January of last year. I originally had lost 18 pounds. I then took some time off and I have been on it again since October 2012 and have lost another 10 pounds but I have added a lot of exercises and weight lifting so my actuall weight loss is slower because of the muscle. I love the shakes.

That's not much of a promotion for the shakes because you haven't gained a quantity of muscle eating at a deficit. The shakes are an expensive crutch people use in the belief that they have some magic powers. You can eat real food for the same amount of calories and a whole lot less money.
