How many cals should I be burning

Hi everyone

So I'm 5ft5 and currently around 126pounds looking to get to around 120 and be toned. How many cals should I be burning per workout? I never exceed 1400 cals foodwise a day. I see a lot of people say they burn 800+ per workout but these are usually people who are slightly heavier than me. For example I just came back from an hour's run and really pushed myself. I wear a HRM watch and it showed my heart rate was pretty high the whole tie but still only managed to burn 510. I sometimes attend BodyAttack class. In class descriptions it usually says people burn around 600cals in one of those classes but the most I have burnt is 420 and again I really really pushed myself and was sweating like crazy by the end!
I guess what I'm asking is because I have already lost quiet a bit (I was 152 at my heaviest) is it ok that I don't burn as many cals as some people do? Or should I be increasing my workouts?

dont worry abut how much you burn, look at a full body strength training regime to 'tone up'. you probably wont lose weight, but you will lose inches and look better naked!

plus, you can probably eat more than 1400 cals - when you are down to losing the last couple of vanity pounds you should only have a very small deficit - 1/2lb per week, or around 250 cals.

i am the same height and weight as you and i was losing slowly on NET 1600 cals.

Burn enough calories to keep you at a slight deficit.
