Random Gym Day

So yesterday at the gym I got there early and rather waiting around for the Body Conditioning class I decided to get on with it, jumped on the cross-trainer, blasted it, then went to whatever weights were free and pushed as hard as I could, the same with the rower. By the end of it I'd realised I'd worked out 10 minutes longer then normal, had pushed my self harder just keeping in time with my music and ignoring all the figures on the machines and lifted heavier weights for a bit longer then before - I loved it, a random workout that showed me that I am getting a bit stronger and a bit better as time goes by.

Anybody else ever have a random gym day that makes you feel so good you decide it's time to upload your 'before' body shot (my new profile pic). Can't wait for the next one in a few months to compare

I keep my playlist on "random"....Other than that, I always have a plan, and I try to stick to it, as closely as possible. I don't think I would be able to accurately track my lifts without planning, first.

I used to put the bike, and elliptical machine on random, until I discovered if I kept hitting the button it would give me an interval option. I use that, instead, now.

Yep always use the interval on the cross triner, either if it's a 5 min warm up beofre a weights routine or my random day!
