Not-so-naughty Nachos

Made these tonight- they were delicious!

For chips-
Mountain bread 4 sheets
Seasoning

For sauce-
220g kangaroo meat (can substitute other meats)
One tin canned tomatoes
3 tbsp hot salsa
Taco seasoning

For side-
Chopped red onion, capsicum, tomato, avocado and lime juice

Chop mountain bread into triangles. Roast in oven at 200•c for 10 minutes or until crispy
Dry fry mince over medium hear until lightly browned
Add taco seasoning and fry 1-2 minutes
Add tinned tomatoes and salsa
Stir and simmer for 15 minutes

Pour sauce over chips. Add a sprinkle of light cheese and place under grill until cheese melts. Serve with chopped side and Greek yoghurt

    I wonder where I can find Kangaroo meat in Canada. Would bison meat work instead.

    I would think bison would work very well. Lean beef, turkey, chicken, even TVP would substitute fine

    I don't think I can find kangaroo meat here in the US though lol
    Ground turkey, black beans and fat free cheese sounds like the way to go.

    I have never heard of mountain bread, I will have to research a healthier chip alternative.

    What is Mountain Bread? I am guessing it's an Aussie thing because of the kangaroo meat. :) What's a good sub, maybe a high-fiber tortilla?

    Mountain bread is basically a low calorie tortilla so any tortilla/wrap would work fine.

    And yup, real skippyx. It surprises me that few people are aware that its a popular meat here
